Phillip Leavell
Congratulations to Phillip Leavell, Rosebud Health Care Center’s June 2020 Employee of the Month!
Phil began working at RHCC in October 2019 in the Physical Therapy Department as a PT Assistant. The road here has been
quite a journey. It began in 1990 when a family tragedy caused Phil to begin reading Christian counseling books. That eventually led him back to school at the age of 38. He started in Glendive, transferred to MSU Bozeman and eventually attended NDSU in Williston for a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
He went from working on ranches and irrigated farms to attending school and getting a PTA degree with a goal that was, and continues to be, in a position to be part of a team that helps people.
It took courage to go back to school later in life. He kept perspective by taking one day at a time, one step at a time and trusting God for guidance and providing encouraging people along the way.
Phil has been married to Alina Leavell since April 2017. His interests vary from photography and working on his ‘67 Chevelle, to floating the river with his lovely wife as they compete for the biggest and best agate(s) they can find! They love to play tennis together and make their home and yard look beautiful. They also enjoy trips to Livingston, Bozeman and the Bitterroot Valley to visit family and pick huckleberries in the summer!
His favorite quote is:
“I will study and get ready, and someday my chance will come.”
