Shelley was born in Miles City, raised in Eastern Montana, and graduated high school from Forsyth MT. She left Forsyth for 16 years and raised her children around Belgrade, MT. She is married with 2 children, and 2 grandchildren at this time. Shelley started her nursing career with an Associate Degree from Miles City. She then graduated with MSN from Gonzaga University in 2015. Shelley’s first job as a FNP was at Crow Agency IHS. She then came back to her hometown or Forsyth to serve her hometown community. After a few years at RHCC Shelley noted that mental health services are needed and is currently going back to college at Gonzaga to get a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), as well as her FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), with the goal of becoming dually certified to better serve the community. In 2023, she finished her most recent accomplishment at Gonzaga University and now has the credential of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan).
