Please help us congratulate Velma Rice for being selected as the DECEMBER Employee of the Month!
Velma moved from Tongue River to Rosebud in 1975 and has been a resident there since. She married Eldon in 1985 and between them had three children, Jess, Morla and Jerette who have gifted them with six grandchildren.
She started at RHCC 35 years ago in laundry. Velma went back and forth between laundry and housekeeping before joining the dietary department. She has since spent many hours providing our nursing home residents, hospital patients and employees with delicious meals over the years.
Velma has now cut her hours back to a part time position at RHCC which allows her more time to visit her family and travel. In fact, she is looking forward to a trip to Arizona next month to enjoy a surprise 100th birthday party for a longtime friend and neighbor.
If she is not traveling, she enjoys being with her family and friends and decorating and catering for events. Velma’s advice is to enjoy life as life is meant to be enjoyed!
